10 Brands that Give Extra on Veterans Day

Veterans Day is here, and these brands are commemorating those who served our country with some sweet deals and generous charitable donations.

1. Baskin Robbins- Available throughout all of this November, Baskin Robbins is offering camouflage-patterned ice cream, waffle cones, and a sundae. Baskin Robbins will donate ten cents from each ice scream scoop sold to the United Service Organizations (USO).

2. Cracker Barrel- Cracker Barrel teamed up with Coca-Cola this Veteran’s Day, donating 10% of the sales price on specific items and all Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cakes sold in Cracker Barrel to USO. Additionally, all vets dining in on November 11th will receive a free slice of the famed cake.

3. Heinz Ketchup- Heinz Ketchup bottles show off the phrase, “Our Turn to Serve,” in participating restaurants and encourage people to scan a quick response code on the back of each bottle to send a personalized thank you to veterans. For each “thank you” sent, and each “like” on the Heinz Ketchup Facebook page, Heinz will donate 57 cents, up to $200,000, to Wounded Warrior Project.

4. Heroes Vodka- Heroes Vodka is a vodka brand that was founded by U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Travis McVey. A percent of every Heroes Vodka purchase goes to AMVETS to develop community assistance programs for American veterans, active duty military, and their families.

5. Band-Aid- Band-Aid has launched “Our Veteran Heroes” Brand Adhesive Bandages featuring patriotic and military-inspired designs, and 5% of the sale price of each box sold goes to Team Red, White, and Blue, a veteran nonprofit organization. Additionally, Band-Aid has donated $1 for each post with the #RunWithGlory hashtag, promoting messages that encourage runners and thank veterans (up to $25,000).

6. JetSuite- JetSuite, a private jet charter company, is inviting veterans to book an entire suite for $1 this Veteran’s Day. This promotion is part of the brand’s SuiteDeals, which are last-minute flights for predetermined destinations.

7. Starbucks- Starbucks and HBO have teamed up to host The Concert for Valor, a concert to honor America’s veterans and their families on the National Mall in Washington D.C. to be presented live on HBO on Veteran’s Day. In addition, Starbucks has previously announced a commitment to hire at least 10,000 vets and spouses by the end of 2018.

8. Bass Pro Shops- From Veteran’s Day until the end of the year, Bass Pro Shops will donate 100% of consumer contributions to support USO2GO, a segment of USO that delivers the USO’s most popular services to troops in remote/restricted areas.

9. NFL- For every point scored during the NFL’s 32 Salute to Service games, the league will donate $100 to USO, the Pat Tillman Foundation, and Wounded Warrior Project. Proceeds from camo product sold at retail or on NFL Auction will also be donated.

10. Amazon- Amazon, one of many companies taking part in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s “Hiring Our Heroes” program, is committed to hiring more veterans (they hired 1,900 last year). Also, Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the charitable organization of choice, with Combat Veterans to Careers and other military organizations encouraging people to donate via Amazon.
