and findout about...anarp medicare supplementinsurance plan.a rsonal health insuranceadvisor is waiting f your call i'm darrin andersen, president of the national association of payday lenders.we want you always to use payday advances responsibly. payday advancesare never designed to be a long-term financial solution.it's one way to deal with unplanned, short-term expenses. please borrow only what you feel comfortable paying back when it's due. this seal is your assurancethat you're dealing with a responsible lender. always use payday advances responsibly.>>> i'm joined by the leader of a group of illegal alien open borders activists who donned loudobbs s s s today.the group's founder is christinenewman and she joins us tonight.good to have you with us.>> thank you very much.>> let me ask you this.what did you hope to accomplish by putting on those lou dobbs masks?>> well, the theme of it was do i have to look like lou dobbs tobe heard and obviously the answer is yes.boss we got an opportunity to speak with folks tonight.i'm on cnn. >> you know, we have brought on everyone from -- all sorts of organizations.let me ask you, christine.what was the reaction at your rally?>> i think it's a breath of fresh air.people are very frustrated with the general mainstream media, really giving one side of the story.that event actually had closed off a tour that we did where we were talking and listening to people in wisconsin about this year issue.there is a point that we do agree and i have to commend you for that piece, which is around the issue of fair trade -- excuse me, free trade agreements.they've hurt workers.but what isn't heard is how these trade agreements have alsodevastated jobs in countries like mexico or latin america, led to mass migration a a ahanced%',lp=etv%',sz=m,lo=501: you have congress passing lawing that are eliminating legal immigration channels.that's the broken immigration system and it's pitting worker against worker. >> yeah, i'd guess, christine, that we'd agree on far more thanthat.i know that you're concerned about the -- the causes of illegal immigration and what's driving it.i think we would probably agree that a -- a government in mexicofor the past five years certainly has been corrupt.it's been incompetent.before that, the government was an absolute joke.we're spending 50$50 billion in mexico and yet half the country remains in abject poverty and the united states doesn't even have a foreign policy toward mexico.until we resolve those -- i've never said that i blame illegal aliens for entering this country.their motivation is clear, what drives them is clear.i blame this administration, this government, this congress for the idiocy of not securing our borders and not enforcing u.s. immigration laws.where do we differ?>> i think we're -- if we agree that people are being driven because of these trade agreements to come here to work, the problem is is that we do have a don't ask, don't tell hiring sishm.and if p p pe try to stand up for their rights, then they're asked.the only way that the american working people are going to progress is if we give them the legal rights they need to stand up shoulder to shoulder with american workers to improve wages and working conditions in the country.it's really that simple.>> i -- i would only say i agreewith you about trade agreements.there's a great deal of -- a great deal to be fixed, many flaws.the policies of the government of mexico and many of the governments of central america have much to do because of the corruption, the incompetence of the governments.some of which make the u.s. government look down-right competent, if you can imagine that.let's turn to the issue of immigration reform.that appears to now be subsumed by a presidential primary and both parties, it looks like we're going to see the issue of border security taken up.i've said personally, christine, that i think i i i good a thing.it's a way to build a consensus and build a body of public knowledge on what's really happening with illegal immigration in this country.do you disagree?>> i think that we need to -- the congress needs to step up right now and fix this problem.and they do need to create a path of legalization.they're trying to do it for political reasons, they're stepping back.what we've seen is just increased kind of culture of local racist vigil antism.people try to grapple with this and instead of, again, holding our federal government accountable to fix a broken system, you know, we're seeing people -- communities being divided at the local level. >> thank you for being here.we hope you'll come back.believe me, a mask is not necessary.as a matter of fact, it's preferable without one.we thank you for sharing your thoughts with us here tonight.thank you. >> thank you. >>> coming up at the top of the hour, "the situation room" and wolf blitzer.wolf?>> thank you, lou.coming up, t t t41 senator and the scandal.he was caught calling an escort service.now david vitter tells his storywith his wife standing by his side. >>> plus, shoot-out at the statecapital.a man is gunned down by security.>>> also, seen now for the firsttime on video,
