presidential candidates if the again election were held today and despite the economy, the president leads all enadthe republicans. in a matchup with governor perry, president obama leads by 11 points, 51-40%. against formerhouse speaker newt gingrich, the president leads by just two point, 47-45%. mr. obama has a lead over mitt romney, 48-44%, and businessman herman cain is trailing the president esby 10 points. 49-39%. now, there is one poll o ut by bloomberg that shows in new hampshire, romney has a lead over president obama by 10 points, 50-40%, b ut keep in mind, new hampire is considered home turf for mr. romnorey and he leads all the aleother r republicans there as wealth. >> jack, governor perry is in the granite state campaigning and targeting washington, d.c., right? >> repor ter: that's right. the governor took his plan uproot and overhaul washington to new tohampshire, he just unveiled it in iowa yesterday, and his campaign is really tting that this is going to resinate with voters, and at least one poll showed government spending and reducing the debt is thebt number one issue for voters in iowa and the number two issue behind the economy for voters in new hampshire, and i spoke with ut arlington mythical signs professor, and he thought perry has a good strategy.gotr >> he's bringing the texass legislature gito washington, and it does have sort of a rest instance, he says --sa -rest instance, he says they get stuff done, or not. maybe that's the best thing, or not.
