Business Wire announced it would begin providing clients with access to Critical Mention‘s real-time television and radio monitoring platform, a web-based service that captures broadcasts from all 210 U.S. markets and stations in Canada, the U.K. and Middle East.

The agreement was inked during the annual Public Relations Society of America International Conference, taking place in Orlando through Tuesday. As an introductory promotion, Business Wire clients who subscribe with Critical Mention for 2012 will receive the remainder of 2011 at no charge.

“Business Wire has done extensive research on the broadcast marketing marketplace and determined that Critical Mention represents the most expansive coverage and strongest technology, along with a strong commitment to customer service,” said Laura Sturaitis, executive vice president of media services and product strategy for Business Wire.

“Communications professionals use Business Wire to light up the media. Thanks to the partnership with Critical Mention announced today, the issuers of those releases will be able to know in real-time when they get mentioned on TV or radio,” said Dave Armon, president of Critical Mention
