Sean Morgan - Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Morgan was a founding team member and SVP of Sales at Pinnacor, Inc [NASDAQ: PCOR, formerly ScreamingMedia], a leading provider of information management solutions for the aggregation, distribution and integration of real time business and financial information into websites, intranets, wireless sites and interactive television. Pinnacor was recently sold to Marketwatch, Inc. [NASDAQ: MKTW] for over $100 million. As one of the founders of Pinnacor, Mr. Morgan was responsible for building a 60-person sales and business development organization, and grew monthly revenue from $15,000 to $1.8 million in under 24 months. Mr. Morgan represented the company in front of industry analysts and investors, and helped raise more than $95 million in various funding rounds. Pinnacor debuted on the NASDAQ in August 2000.
Doug DeSimone - Senior Vice President, Operations
Mr. DeSimone joins Critical Mention from the Electronic Publishing Division of Dow Jones, were he was a key member of an integration team that reorganized and integrated the CBS MarketWatch.com staff following the $500 mm acquisition by Dow Jones & Co. Previously, he was a founder and VP of Operations for Hybrid Consulting, which developed advanced statistical models and software for the deregulated electricity and energy markets. Doug was hired by ad legend Jay Chiat at ScreamingMedia.com to work with Sean Morgan who was building the Sales, Product Management and Customer Services teams leading up to the company's IPO.
Rey Contreras - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Contreras joins Critical Mention from Pennell Venture Partners, where he was responsible for internal operations, screening new business opportunities and structuring new financings. Mr. Contreras led the firm's investment in Critical Mention and worked closely with the management team for over a year before joining. Previously, Mr. Contreras was Senior Associate - Project Development for Poseidon Resources, a private developer and financier of large-scale infrastructure projects. Mr. Contreras has a BA in Economics/Operations Research from Columbia University.
Tim Reusing - Senior Vice President, General Counsel
Mr. Reusing brings over 10 years of experience counseling public and private technology and Internet companies. Previously, Mr. Reusing served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of On2 Technologies, Inc. (AMEX: ONT), a video compression and streaming software provider. While at On2, Mr. Reusing played a leading role in achieving broad adoption of On2's software in the marketplace and negotiating and establishing On2's key U.S. and international relationships, including with companies such as Adobe/Macromedia, Sony, XM Satellite Radio, Brightcove, America Online, NTT and VideoEgg. Before joining On2, Mr. Reusing was Vice President and General Counsel of Alloy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALOY). Mr. Reusing began his legal career in private practice with Covington & Burling in Washington D.C. and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York. Mr. Reusing received his JD from William & Mary Law School and his BA from Gettysburg College.
Sean Foley - Vice President, Sales
Mr. Foley brings over 10 years of experience in sales, sales management, technology consulting and business development to Critical Mention. Mr. Foley was previously Regional VP of Sales at Pinnacor, Inc. [NASDAQ: PCOR, formerly ScreamingMedia]. Before ScreamingMedia, Mr. Foley managed strategic accounts for British Telecoms's [NYSE:BT] financial services business in the Americas. His client engagements have spanned business information strategy, operations technology, and outsourcing services for major global institutions including UBS, ABN-AMRO and Merrill Lynch. Mr. Foley holds a BA from Loyola College in Maryland.
JJ Pullaro - Vice President, Client Services
Prior to joining Critical Mention, Mr. Pullaro spent two years at Thomson Financial [NYSE: TOC] where he was responsible for managing a $1.2 million account base, and helped pilot the release of new online research products. Prior to Thomson, Mr. Pullaro spent five years at Pinnacor, Inc [NASDAQ: PCOR, formerly ScreamingMedia], where he served as Director of Sales Operations. He helped co-develop and grow the sales division from a staff of 2 to over 40. Prior to ScreamingMedia, Mr. Pullaro spent five years at PR Newswire Association, Inc., where he served in various editorial and sales capacities, including managing their Electronics Markets division.
James Weir - Director, Software Engineering
Prior to joining Critical Mention, Mr. Weir was a professional lecturer at Marist College. During this time he instructed students in various topics of Information Technology and Computer Science at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Prior to academia, Mr. Weir worked at IBM designing CPU logic. He holds an MS degree in Computer Engineering from Lehigh University.
Karol Zapolski - Director, Network Operations
Mr. Zapolski brings to Critical Mention over 11 years of experience in system and network administration as well as software development and design. In 2000 Mr. Zapolski founded Digital Systems in Gdansk, Poland, a company that provided IT support to Polish government agencies, various small- to mid size businesses, Gdansk public hospital and Szczecin Polytechnic University. Prior to 2000 he held IT Specialist positions at Mikrotel LLC, phone systems development company and Sinus Design LLC, designer and producer of large vessels.
