Clip Total: $5,582 doctors out of canada's university of alberta found the better a student's eating habits are... the more likely they are to pass an elementary literacy tests. and they're not just for the young. a new national cancer institute study say eating more fruit may prevent colorectal polyps.. which can be precursors to cancer. researchers found men who consumed five servings of fruit per day slashed their risk of polyps by nearly 40 percent. a particular mushroom may stop breast cancer cells from growing. the methodist research institute says the common mushroom -- similar to those you see in the grocery stores... can block an enzyme that leads to cell growth vitamin e may prolong the life of alzheimer's sufferers. baylor college researchers followed 800 patients for 5 years. those who took vitamin e were twenty-six percent less likely to die during the study. and speaking of elderly brains... aerobics may do as much for them as they do for elderly bodies. a "cochrane review" study says aerobics can boost speed of thinking and concentration. they found regular exercisers over the age of fifty-five show |
