legislators would increase their monthly allowance from five-hundred, to a-thousand dollars ... and keep collecting a- hundred-forty three dollars for each day they're in session.... i respect every citizen's right to weigh in on this - whether they support it or oppose it. most legislators - didn't want to discuss the plan with me. i'm david d'aquin, back to you. governor bobby jindal says - - he doesn't like the pay plan for legislators, but says - he won't veto it if it's passed... if it "is" passed - it'll be the largest pay raise for lawmakers in louisiana history. it's another chance in court for one of the angola three. a magistrate judge has recommended that the murder conviction for albert woodfox be vacated. he is one of three inmates who was held in solitary confinement for more than 30 years after being convicted of killing a prison guard. in a written decision, judge christine noland said woodfox's lawyer should have objected to some of the testimony that convicted him. a third inmate had his conviction overturned and was released in 2001. a domestic dispute turned deadly in monroe this afternoon .. after a stand-off with police. the shooting happened at a home near the campus of the university of louisiana-monroe. police say a man shot and killed his former wife and her mother before turning the gun on himself. the man's former father-in- law was also shot .. but is expected to be okay. the shooting remains under investigation. jury selection is still going on in the murder trial of accused serial killer sean vincent gillis. gillis is accused of killing donna bennett johnston, whose mutilated body was found in 2004, in a drainage canal... as of this afternoon, there weren't any jurors selected.. but we're told the process could last several weeks. meanwhile, louisiana leads the nation for the number of people put behind bars. according to the the federal bureau of justice .. last year, eight- hundred-57 out of every 100-thousand louisiana residents were in prison. mississippi had the second
